The Siemens Interview — how to crack it

Three rounds. You already know the syllabus (the green roadmap). This is how the actual interview runs and exactly how to prepare for each stage.

The shape of it

Online Assessment → Technical Interview → Managerial/HR. The referral gets you the at-bat; these rounds get you the offer. DSA is the biggest single factor — everything on your roadmap feeds these three.

Round 1 — Online Assessment (HackerEarth)~2h 20m

What happens: 27 MCQs + 3 coding problems (2 medium, 1 hard). MCQs cover aptitude/logic, OOP concepts, and computer fundamentals (OS, memory).

How to prepare: Drill the DSA patterns until medium problems are ~20 min. Do 15 min/day aptitude (IndiaBix). Revise OOP + OS basics. Practice on HackerEarth’s own environment so the UI isn’t new on the day.

Round 2 — Technical Interview45–60m

What happens: DSA-heavy: they give a problem, you write code and dry-run it live. Then a deep dive into your projects, plus basic OOP (with real examples), OS and DBMS.

How to prepare: Solve out loud — narrate your thinking. Know Recon and your Ayris work cold: why each decision. Be able to explain any line you wrote. Have your 2-minute explanations ready for every pattern.

Round 3 — Managerial / HR30–45m

What happens: Situational questions (team conflict, pressure), “why healthcare tech / why Siemens”, and a full walk of your resume.

How to prepare: Prepare 3 stories (a hard problem, a conflict, a proud build) in STAR form. Have a genuine “why healthcare” answer. Know every line of your resume — they ask straight off it.

Mock it before it’s real

The week before

🗣️ The rule for every round

If you can explain it out loud in 2 minutes, you own it. If you stumble, that’s the topic to revisit — not a reason to panic. Log each mock in your Journal.
